7 Tips To Inject Your Personality Into Your Social Media
Personality is often missed when businesses launch themselves on Social Media. Business owners tend to get so caught up in the promotion and selling of their products and services, that they actually forget to show who they actually are.
Being real and honest in your business will show and demonstrate to your followers and clients that you are approachable and trustworthy.

Here are our 7 Tips to inject more personality into your social media posts for your business:
1. Show snippets of your life in the form of photos.
Don’t just show business related products and promote your services. If your customers are being sold to all the time, they will eventually lose interest. People want to see the behind the scenes footage of the inner workings of what you do. All the funny bits and the parts of your business that you love show people why you actually love to go to work everyday. They want to get to know YOU!

2. Make sure you use your story functions of Facebook and Instagram.
The good part about the story functions is that the pictures and video footage on your story is only live for 24hrs. This gives you the chance to post the extremely fun side of yourself and your business. If you are unsure what to post on Stories, you can follow and have a look at other pages stories to see what they do. Stories will give you fun options to add to your posts like stickers, filters and GIFs to enhance your creativity. Business doesn’t need to be serious all the time!
3. Use authentic photos.
Be yourself and honest on social media. You may think that you are boring, but people need to see who you are and what your business is about. They seriously love it! People and clients are attracted to businesses, exactly the same as they would attract to friends and people. People want honesty and real business relations, and that in turn, will build trust. Don’t be fake!
4. Tell a story!
Tell a story about yourself, your business and or a funny thing that happened in your day. When you tell a story about your day or your week at work, it is relatable and people will remember that.
5. Make sure you comment on your Facebook and Instagram posts.
Interact with people and do not ignore them. Converse with clients and followers and always answer any questions or concerns that they may have. It’s called “social media” for a reason!
6. Educate your followers and clients on what you do.
Give them your wisdom. People want knowledge. Don’t just tell them what you do, but tell them how you do it and also why you do it!
7. Post Live Videos on Facebook and Instagram
The Live Video game isn’t for everyone, I get that. It can be very daunting, especially if you don’t like to be in front of the camera. But people do like to see a face behind a business because it builds authenticity and trust. If you are nervous or new to being behind the camera, you can always try pre-recording a video to then post. You can talk about your business, your industry, or interview your staff. Inject who you are and what you do on a daily basis. Once you become confident enough then you can try and “go live”! The best thing is, you don’t need fancy and expensive video equipment, all you need is your mobile phone!
The best thing you can do for your business is to be social on your social media channels – it will definitely increase the trustworthiness factor, which will ultimately contribute to the success of your business. I encourage you to have a look at some of the social media pages of businesses in your industry and see what some of them do.
I will guarantee that the ones who have injected some of their own personality into their socials will be absolutely killing it!
