5 Reasons You Need A Website For Your Business
Websites are vital for any business for this day and age. Having an online presence supports your customer service, client relations, improves brand recognition and generates repeated business. Websites are always there 24/7, even when your office doors are closed.
Websites Are Open 24 Hours Per Day
That means that when you are sleeping and or the office doors are closed on weekends, your online presence is still there working for your business. Clients or potential interests can check out your products and services 24/7 and make appointment bookings. So, basically you are working round the clock, even when you are not!
How good does that sound? Potentially making money while you’re sleeping!
Your Next Generation Of Customers Will Be Looking For A Website
How often do you see a Gen Z or a millennial without a mobile device in their hands? Not very often I’ll bet. They are your next generation of customers. If you do not have a platform in which they understand and or can search for you on, they will not know how to find you or even know that you exist. Websites are a must, especially over the next 5 years. If you are not moving to online then you might miss out on a great deal of business.
A Business With A Website Will Rank Higher In Google Rankings (Being seen on the first page of Google)
Many businesses believe that you don’t need a website anymore because of Facebook and social media, but this is not always the case. If you Google search a business, a Facebook listing for that business may possibly appear, but this is not guaranteed. It would come as no surprise that Google and Facebook are not best friends. So Google will rank anything higher than your Facebook page if a valid option exists. And just remember, not everyone is on social media (I know, it’s a shock, but it happens!), so you could be missing out on clientele if you don’t have a high ranking website appearing in Google search!
A Website Answers Your Customer’s Questions All Day Everyday.
Websites often have a Frequently Asked Questions section in their layout. It includes a list of questions that you often get asked and what the answers are. This will free up your time considerably. Imagine the day when you don’t have to spend hours on sending emails and phone calls answering the same question constantly. A website enables you to allocate more time on more important aspects of your business.
For example, if you own a Dance Studio – think of the constant questions that a business like this might have. Things like:
- What sort of classes do you have?
- What time is ballet? Jazz? Tap?
- What age does my daughter/son have to be?
- How much are dance classes?
Think about how much time it takes to answer all of these questions! A website can do all this for you!
A Website Is A Saleable Asset
Unlike Your Facebook Page or Instagram Account a website is a saleable asset. Facebook pages and other social media profiles are owned by the social media company not by you. A website is owned by you, thus making it your asset.
That means that you always have something to sell.
We’ll use the Dance Studio analogy again. If someone wants to buy a dance studio, sure they are buying the current customers, but if you have a website – this is also saleable making the business worth more money – especially if it can make the owner money around the clock. A Dance Studio could have an online store, have courses and e-books on top of classes that can all be paid for online!
So you see, Websites are a must-have for every business. Even if it is just a place you can put your telephone number, location and services. But realise that they can do so much more, and they key is making a website that works hard for you!
